I finally got here on August 19th, via plane to Munich, train to Paris overnight, and then a final train to Arras, where I will be living for the next four months.

Since then, I have been working like crazy in training. Our boss said that in four days, we learn what could normally fill a semester's length of a history class on the first world war.

We have visited sooo many monuments, memorials and cemetaries since starting training. It's a little overwhelming, but great.

Will update later tonight, still unpacking.

So, here I am sitting in the Calgary airport, ready to leave for Munich in about 20 minutes. I'm getting kind of nervous... But I know everything will work out fine.

Dad and Gregory drove out from Lloydminster to visit me today before I left. We had lunch with Ben and Hana (Ben's sister), which was nice to do.

I got a new friend - Giraffe. He is my new travelling companion. I think we will get along famously.

So here begins my adventure to Europe. 9 hours of flying, here we go.
