Salisbury, England

So September 14th, I finished work and hopped on a train from Arras to Lille, and then on the underground Eurostar from Lille to London Waterloo station and then to Salisbury to meet the parents of a girl I met in Pincher Creek this weekend, Jocelyn.

So they were incredibly sweet to me. Jocelyn's mom took me around to a bunch of sights and to some of the shops to look for shoes (French people have TINY feet)...

So here is me at Stonehenge (just outside of Salisbury). The rocks are actually much smaller than I thought they'd be.

That night Jocelyn's mum and dad brought me to a real English pub, where I had my first real English beer. I chose an "Abbott's Ale" apparently the strongest available at that pub (well, besides Guiness, but that's rocket fuel). It was good... strong... so my next beer was mixed with lemonade :)

They treated me so well, and they are such nice people. They said that I am welcome back whenever I like.

We also went to Salisbury Cathedral. One of the remaining hand written copies of the Magna Carta is kept here. Pretty incredible to see.

I got to buy peanut butter, kraft dinner, red curry, MILK, Diet Coke and shoes larger than a size seven. ALL things you cannot find in FRANCE.

So that's it for tonight, I'll continue later on, as I am pretty tired after all that travelling.

Talk soon,

Kelly
