I believe this past semester can be interpreted by the Facebook groups I joined:

- Will put out for law school lecture notes.
- You know you're in law school when...
- I've thought of quitting law school at least ten times today.
- The Carbolic Smoke ball cured my cold.
- AEEDUM.
- Université de Moncton - Faculté de Droit 2010.

So now that I've alluded to the various insanities caused by law school, the bottom line is I survived (according to the marks), and can't believe that it starts all over again in a week.... and that I have to do this 5 more times to graduate.

Oh well - since December 16th, 12:01 pm (the minute my contracts exam was over), I've been soaking up as much non-law-life as possible. This entails reading english non-fiction, watching movies, sleeping until 11, shopping(!), chilling out, sitting by a roaring fire with my family and limited Moncton friends.

Yes, I stayed in Moncton for Christmas. It's okay! It wasn't as bad as it sounds. Minus the crazy storms and the crazier drinking, I've survived Christmas too!

If I don't post again before school starts, I'll talk to you in April - when exams are over, and I have my life back.

So now that I'm in Moncton and all settled into a regular routine - things are going pretty well. Université de Moncton is really nice, the campus is cute, and I'm starting to get into a little bit of a routine: i.e. class everyday at 8am, study until i fall asleep from noon to 10pm. Sounds great.

No life here I come :)

Madrid, Spain

Madrid, Spain is a beautiful city. I spent two days walking around just staring at the sights.

I went to the Royal Palace:

Walked through the city, seeing all the monuments errected to the various victories and defeats:

Oops, the palace from a different angle:

Disneyland, Paris

So Monday, October 16th, I went to Disneyland, Paris with one of my roommates, Maddy. It was the first time I had ever been on a roller coaster - ever! We went on almost every ride imaginable!! Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Carribean, Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Honey I Shrunk the Audience....
Dumbo the Flying Elephant...
The Mad Hatter's Teacups...
I met Mickey Mouse - He's a lot smaller than I thought!
It was all so magical and dressed up for Halloween... It was worth the 22 years wait to go to Disneyland!

Amsterdam, Holland

Amsterdam, oh Amsterdam. How insane is Amsterdam? You have no idea.

Well, Monday, October 9th, Julie and I hopped on a train at 5 a.m. to get to Amsterdam by 11 a.m. It was long, but well worth it. We headed straight for the cultural things. We hit the Van Gogh museum, and Anne Frank's House a.s.a.p. Both were just as good as I expected.

Julie (far right) and I, dropped our stuff off at our Hostel - called the "flying pig," and met this nice girl from New Zealand. Then we decided that it would be a good idea to go on a pub crawl. Yeah. I know, not such a bright idea.

So the next day, when we finally were able to get out of bed (around noon), we only had enough time to make it to a place called "cannabis college"... and then go souvenir shopping....

As you can see, wooden clogs are a huge thing in Holland.

We found ourselves in the "red light district" - the part of Amsterdam where prostitutes are allowed to stand in windows for sale - prostitution is legal in amsterdam. That was sure weird... no, sorry, no pictures were taken... I tried to spend as little time as possible in that part of town.

We then hopped on a train and went back home to Arras. But first, we had to wait two hours at Paris-Nord train station.

All in all, a fun trip. Half educational... half, well... cultural.

London, England

October 1st and 2nd I was supposed to go to Amsterdam, but the student tickets were all sold out so we bought tickets for next week and went to London at the last minute.

London was cool. We stayed in a kind of sketchy hostel though... verrrry creepy and old. Showers, not so clean. But we made it out okay!

This is me next to the London Eye and in Front of Parliament. We didn't actually have enough time to go on the Eye, but next time I'm there, I will for sure!

Here I am sitting in some weird Sphynx's lap. Very random.

Julie and I went to see Les Mierables. It was incredible. I can't wait to go back to London to see more musicals!

We had time to go to a Salvador Dali exhibit, as well as an exhibit of some art from inmates of various penitentaries accross England - it was very interesting....

... and of course here I am in the requisite tourist photo: the red telephone booth. I have one of the red double decker buses, but I'm just embarrasing myself too much... hehe...

Geneva, Switzerland

So I went to Geneva on September 28th and 29th. I caught a ride with two of my roommates who were going to Charmonix, France to climb a mountain (!?), and we rented a car. It was pretty cool...

I took a tour of the United Nations Geneva Headquarters, which was pretty cool... Security - very tight!

I then took a boat tour of Lake Geneva, it was super beautiful!

There were a whole bunch of these huge chess boards in one of the large Geneva parks...

And a clock made out of flowers that really tells time!

After the United Nations tour, I went to the International Red Cross/Red Crescent Museum... which was interesting...

So all in all, I had a pretty cool trip to Switzerland... very nice, very relaxing..
